Language and color perception
The language one speaks impacts the way in which they perceive the world. More specifically, the language one speaks impacts the color categorization and hence processing of colors observed. This topic has widely been discussed and researched by linguistics professionals around the world. Two prominent figures that spearheaded research in this topic were Berlin and Kay who were both professors at the University of California Berkley. I discuss their findings by providing relatable examples and visuals to help explain their findings.
